About More:
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave two and a half out of five stars and stated, "One key difference between the two seasons is in the pace of the narrative." Season 2 is, as expected, firing on all cylinders, but in an infinitely more controlled way. The language continues to be incredibly crude. However, the violent scenes, while zealously exaggerated, are not provided just to increase the shock quotient, as was often the case with S1. Udita Jhunjhunwala of Firstpost reviewed the series, awarding it three out of five stars, stating, "Season 2 ends with what we expected as Game of Thrones goes - some will die, some will live and the show will go on."
Ronak Kotecha of The Times of India rated the series three-and-a-half out of five stars and wrote, "Mirzapur 2" has that "killer" combination of power and politics that largely works but is not bulletproof to mistakes. Jyothi Sharma Bawa of Hindustan Times wrote a review, "For a show that revels in throwing references at you, here's one that Mirzapur 2 gives us right at the start - a scorpion with a sting in its story." Rohit Vats of News18 gave the series a two-and-a-half and stated, "In Mirzapur 2, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi stare unflinchingly at each other amid a barrage of bullets, determined to make it all look bizarrely satisfying."
Nandini Ramanath of Scroll. in reviewed "Mirzapur 2 may not have felt the need to invent new characters to increase the intrigue. These fresh entrants provide enough intrigue and maneuvering for the last 10 episodes, but show writers Puneet Krishna and Vineet Krishna aren't done yet." Much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise that stretches into eternity, a time-bound story revolving around revenge for fresh injuries threatens to evolve into a saga that will last for several more seasons. Mughda Kapoor of Daily News and Analysis rated the show three-and-a-half out of five, stating, "Delivering on the expectations of an action-packed, wild and intense season, Mirzapur 2 certainly makes for a great watch."
In contrast, Ektaa Malik of The Indian Express gave it two stars out of five and stated, "The second season of Mirzapur doesn't fall into the 'so bad it's good' category yet, nor does it fit into the 'guilty pleasure' slot.Saraswati Datar of The News Minute stated, "Episodes that start at a brisk pace slow down by the middle of the season. Still, this enviable ensemble of actors, who are undoubtedly some of the best in the business today, try to stay invested and keep the proceedings going.
